Repair Co. is a start up in San Luis Obispo dedicated to making tradespeople’s lives easier by offering them an improved back-end management system.
Repair Co. was forced to fully release their platform earlier than anticipated due to growing market and customer pressure. As a result, the company had to rush through the design process in order to enter the market. Because of this, it now faces customers and sales prospects who demand new functionalities and improvements to the current system.
As we know, if parts of the design process are overlooked, it’s much harder to build on the current platform.
My role at Repair Co. was to review the platform and restore, rebuild and improve the files that Repair Co. had sacrificed to reach market.
I worked through the entire web application, learning and mapping the different flows, then recreated their file system in Adobe XD. While doing so, I audited the platform for mistakes and confusing systems. Finally, at the end of my time with the company, I gave a presentation with recommendations of changes to the current and future platform and files.
As a result, Repair Co. in now in a much better position to advance their product and address the needs of their customers.
